Anger issues stops you from growing and glowing

Image
Anger is not just an emotion; it is a fire that spreads internally and externally, which ultimately burns down everything that you have built, including your relationships and peace of mind. Remember the times when you lost your close friends, close relatives, your girlfriend, your boyfriend or your job ,and the list goes on..... Thats because of this emotion called anger..... great achievers know how to deal with anger especially with the short-tempered ones that make your blood boil and wanna make you hit few people or scream at people, no doubt many people who are at the top like big actors or cricketers usually have a calm tone and they talk very slowly in a steady manner. They do not get triggered easily, that's because of their experience and their ability to control their emotions, especially the most dangerous, or I would rather say impactful emotion.... anger. Let me tell you a small story about Mr Das, he was a short-tempered and angry person but was very sincere towards...

Worrying is a waste of time

Image
A few years back I started playing cricket again after a bike accident, I gained a lot of weight, my body lost the reflexes that I used to have and on top of that, I felt like shit when I looked in the mirror.... I was always worrying about how I gonna overcome this, what if this happens ??? what if that happens ?? and things like that.... I used to feel awful every day... I started hating everything about my life... but anyways I went to the nets sessions, I used to feel low because even the junior players used to comment on how bad my physique was or my struggling game was, when I went to bat in matches I was sledged a lot by the opponents with words one cant imagine and their reactions really pissed me off ..... then I got really frustrated and decided that I needed to take a break for a week and went window shopping alone to the nearby mall to find some inspiration... to my surprise I saw few books on stoicism which talks about having the ability to endure pain or hardship wit...

"No Matter What You Do, People Will Talk—So Live Your Life!"

Image
Are We Living for Ourselves or for Others? Have you ever noticed that no matter what you do......wearing your favourite colour shirt or capturing a picture of nature.......someone always has a comment to make?  It happens everywhere at school, college, the gym, and the workplace. And, of course, our relatives and neighbours are often the first to judge. People are naturally judgmental. It’s part of human nature. Because of this, many of us work hard to present ourselves in a way that gains social approval. We buy things not just for personal happiness but to shape the way others perceive us. But is this really necessary? Does loving someone solely for their social status bring real happiness? Is it worth paying EMIs for cars, bikes, or properties just to receive validation from others? Are we truly living the life we want, or are we just trying to fit into an image society has created for us? Instead, we should focus on what genuinely brings us joy. We must love people ...

In this digital era, we are habituated these days to get things fast due to the smartphones in our hands, we want food we swiggy it, we want snacks we zepto it, we want a bag we buy it on Amazon, we want to clean our homes we book via urban clap, we want bus tickets we book on red bus and the list goes on. We human beings need to build ourselves step by step right from our knowledge, skills, career, body and of course our relationships, this reminds us all that    “Rome wasn't built in a day”.  We are part of nature and nature has something called a process and it can't be rushed how hard you try,  Let us look at this through a  kutty story...... Mr.DAS was a sincere man who was consistent with his work, he used to wake up early in the morning do his meditation, brush his teeth, read t...

From Likes to Life: Rediscovering Myself During a Social Media Break

Image
A few months ago, I went out with my friends for lunch at a beautiful seaside restaurant along the East Coast Road. The view was stunning—people playing on the beach, fishermen guiding their boats, friends laughing as they braved the waves, couples deep in conversation, children flying kites, and athletes practicing surfing against the rhythmic crash of the tides. It was one of those moments that felt picture-perfect.   As I soaked it all in, I realized my phone battery had died. At first, I thought it might be inconvenient, but soon, I discovered something refreshing: I was completely immersed in the moment, undistracted. There were no notifications dragging me out of the conversations with my friends, no impulses to capture the view for Instagram stories, no dopamine hits from new messages or social media updates. Just pure, unfiltered presence. It was calm, pleasant, and deeply soul-satisfying.   But then, reality hit. As soon as I got home, I plugged in my pho...

You can overcome overthinking!

Image
Overthinking is when a person always thinks of either what has happened in the past or what could happen in the future. Eventually, they become totally ignorant or absent from the present moment. Statistics say that we all have a certain amount of overthinking in us, especially young adults between the ages of 18 to 27. The reason is that we are subjected to a lot of social, academic and career-related pressures, especially in life's transition phases. Why is this happening? Why do we all of a sudden zone out from situations and slip into a depressed or loner state where we feel that the world is against us? The reason is that our mind is confused, often in a dilemma, a mindset filled with negative thoughts, where we feel doubtful about the choices that we make. We compare ourselves with our peer group, we look at all that we do not have and totally forget to count our strengths and blessings.   So what can be done to recover from this overthinking state?  Here are a few...

Why GOA plan fails most of the time 😂

Image
It's night 9pm you make a WhatsApp group call with your besties and suddenly due to boredom and monotonous work or college life, you suddenly plan a holiday trip! where does your mind go? as soon as you close your eyes and think of someplace as a bachelor, as a single who is ready to mingle, as a committed guy who needs a break from his girlfriend your mind takes you to a peaceful beachside place with pubs, music, culturally shocking people who have no limits, no office calls, no assignments, and only colorful entertainment to always make you feel high... GOA!!!!! To be frank what comes as a dream always stays as a dream when it comes to a trip to GOA, right? 😂😆😅 I too am a victim of a canceled GOA trip 😅 My friends and I started to plan every year in the month of September for a memorable new year trip to Goa where we discuss for days and months together how we're gonna travel, where we are gonna stay, things to see there, dress to buy for the trip, Instagram story and ...

Expectations is our first enemy

Image
A father expects his son to become an International cricketer, a mother expects her daughter to become a renowned engineer, a coach expects his student to be the top performer, and a teacher expects his/her student to become the topper of the class or maybe the department, relatives expect you to stay in touch with them, parents expect their children to earn a great salary,  friends expect you to give them a good treat and a boy expects his crush girl to reply to his messages and fall in love and this circle of expectations goes on. What is an expectation? An expectation is a strong belief that something will happen in the future which can be both short and long-term, but does this happen most of the time? nope, it doesn't, people always anticipate for many things to happen and get depressed, frustrated, demotivated, and demoralized when things go the opposite way which can be seen from their behavior on both social media and real life, most of them put on sad status or stor...

life lessons from Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (VTV)

Image
Vinnai Thaandi Varuvya(2010) directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon is an evergreen romantic film loved by all, the beautiful locations, and soothing music by AR. Rahman, unforgettable characters, and beautiful love story made people watch this movie again and again. Simbus's flamboyance and Trisha's gorgeous  looks made this movie a masterpiece, I saw this movie for the first time when I was 9 years old but after re-watching this film after 13 years after its release as a 22-year-old boy I got some good perspectives from the love journey of Karthik and Jesse. If you are single you might get some good insights 😂 1. Love happens if it is meant to happen   Love is not something you plan, it happens, just like the protagonist Karthik who fell in love with Jessie as soon as he saw her walking down the street you too might fall in love with someone as soon as you see them, you will feel the butterflies in your stomach flying with a sudden magnetic pull towards that person, all y...

Life lessons from RAJINIKANTH'S BABA MOVIE (2002)

Image
Lessons are not only thought by books and teachers it can also be shown to us in the form of movies or series which has a lasting impact, and such movie was Baba(2002) which got re-released in 2022. The movie was a big flop in Rajinikanth's career as he tried something out of the box type movie which included a combo of spirituality and politics, this movie was written by Rajinikanth and directed by SureshKrishna after he read the book autobiography of a yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda  it made him feel the presence of Sri Guru Mahavatar Babaji the greatest master yogi who was born 2000 years back and still lives in the Himalayas,  Rajinikanth was able to feel BABAJI everywhere within and outside himself and this feeling gave him a great intuition about spirituality, as a result, a determined Rajinikanth came up with BABA and released it which was not well received by his fans, but I would rate it as one of the best movies that teach us life lessons, this is based on the spiri...

Right from a very young age, we have been running as a student at school and college to secure good marks so that we can get placed at a good job which pays us a good amount for us to spend on our needs, wants, pay taxes, make investments and save some for our future needs, while running that race life happens just like that you graduate from school, followed by college, followed by masters and you work your whole life to provide for you and your family, that is your duty isn't it, well that's good but at the end what matters is how well you have spent your time in this life, How good were you towards your friends, peer group, colleagues, family, and other people in yo...

Too much of screen time!

Image
I realize that I am always on my phone expecting texts or calls from WhatsApp, instagram, and from other apps. Whenever I hear the sound of a notification I get excited to be disappointed by some random notification sent by either zomato, swiggy, dunzo,etc.... Most of us can stay on our mobile phones watching content for hours together but we can't meditate for 5 mins each day, read a book for half an hour without a break, or converse with someone without checking our phones. WHY? I believe that we are becoming more and more restless day by day due to the influence of social media and other tech tools which we use on day to day basis, we want our lives to be super fast like movies and moments like Instagram reels so fast that we don't give a damn about what is happening and just keep scrolling next again and again till we realize that we have not paid attention to anything and life is clueless now with guilt overloaded in our mind. Social media is addictive, movies are addicti...
