life lessons from Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (VTV)

 Vinnai Thaandi Varuvya(2010) directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon is an evergreen romantic film loved by all, the beautiful locations, and soothing music by AR. Rahman, unforgettable characters, and beautiful love story made people watch this movie again and again. Simbus's flamboyance and Trisha's gorgeous looks made this movie a masterpiece, I saw this movie for the first time when I was 9 years old but after re-watching this film after 13 years after its release as a 22-year-old boy I got some good perspectives from the love journey of Karthik and Jesse.

1. Love happens if it is meant to happen

  Love is not something you plan, it happens, just like the protagonist Karthik who fell in love with Jessie as soon as he saw her walking down the street you too might fall in love with someone as soon as you see them, you will feel the butterflies in your stomach flying with a sudden magnetic pull towards that person, all your worries would fly away, positive energy comes back to you, you start to feel restless and get super excited, you want to talk to that person by introducing yourself, but at the same time you might feel nervous, this would not happen if you see someone else.

2. Try harder 

Karthik never gave up on Jessie despite rejections, he traveled to places by taking risks to meet her and made use of each and every opportunity by telling how he felt about her from his heart which made Jessie understand his true love and fall for him.

3. Focus on your career

  Love can go to the next level only if you have a good job and career, if Karthik had been a well-established director or maybe a person who has a good career in some other domain he could have easily convinced Jesse and her family to accept his love for her, but he was not well settled which made it difficult for him to make strong decisions at that point of life.

4. Equal efforts and compatibility matters

Karthik tried really hard with his positivity and optimism but Jesse was always being a pessimist from the start she would always look into the negative aspects which made it difficult for their love to last forever. Only when both of you are on the same level of mindset and put in equal efforts you can overcome all obstacles and win, united you stand divided you fall is what can be mainly learned from Karthik and Jesse's love.

5. Embrace the uncertainty

Life is uncertain, we plan for something and some other things happens just like Karthik wanted to live life long with his first love Jesse but due to certain situations it wasn't possible for them to unite, but God blessed and guided Karthik to his dream of becoming a film director whose movie got good reviews from the fans. The same applies to our lives some things are meant to happen and some aren't meant to happen for our own good, so embrace the uncertainty of life.

6. Good friends will always be there

 Karthik was supported by his friend Ganesh a cameraman who helped him to build his film career by getting him chances to intern with big directors and to help in his love for Jessie as well by traveling with him and giving him moral support when things were not in Karthik's favor, just like that we too have and will have good friends to support us during tough situations.

 I realize that I am always on my phone expecting texts or calls from WhatsApp, instagram, and from other apps.
